What should I know before I purchase?

Hope&Her Vaginal Dilators help expand and relax the vagina using gradual insertion to relieve vaginismus tightness and sexual pain. (See Instructions for Use for complete Indications list).

Vaginismus

When sex or penetration is painful or uncomfortable, it is frequently due to a condition known as vaginismus. Vaginismus is vaginal tightness causing discomfort, burning, pain, penetration problems or the complete inability to have intercourse. It may occur at any age, even after enjoying intercourse previously.

You may be wondering if you or a loved one has vaginismus. Vaginismus may be present if any of the following symptoms have been persistent for at least 6 months:

Burning or stinging with tightness during sexual intercourse
Difficult or impossible penetration, entry pain, uncomfortable insertion
Difficulty inserting tampons or undergoing pelvic/gynecological exams or procedures
Avoidance of sex due to pain and/or failure
Anxiety or fear related to having sexual intercourse due to anticipated pain
